Bodies of Couple With Throat Slit Found in Gajapati District

Paralakhemundi: Bodies of a couple with their throat slit were discovered inside their home at Dunguru village under R Udayagiri police station limits in Gajapati district.

According to reports, Chaitanya Mandal and his wife Ijamayi Mandal were murdered by some unidentified while they were asleep in their hut on a hilltop near Dunguru village.

Chaitanya was a self-proclaimed sorcerer and faith healer. It is suspected that it might be a reason behind the brutal murder of the couple. .

After receiving information, local police reached the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. An investigation is on to

ascertain the reason behind this double murder, and to nab the assailants.
