Odisha: School Teacher Suspended for Allegedly Molesting of 12-Year-Old Girl Student

Kendrapara: In a concerning incident in Kendrapara, a high school teacher has been suspended for the alleged molestation of a 12-year-old class VI girl student. The action was taken by the District Education Officer (DEO) following an investigation report submitted by the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Rajnagar.

According to the BEO, Chittaranjan Sahoo, the investigation confirmed that the teacher had molested the female student last week, leading to the DEO’s decision to suspend the accused teacher.

The victim’s mother revealed that her daughter had been reluctant to attend school, and upon further questioning, the minor girl disclosed that the teacher had taken her to a room and molested her.

However, the victim’s parents have not filed a police complaint against the teacher yet. Rajnagar Inspector-in-Charge Ajay Kumar Jena stated that the authorities cannot take suo motu action without a formal complaint from the victim or her parents.
