Odisha Govt to Re-Survey Homesteadless Families To Provide Pattas

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to conduct a fresh survey of homesteadless families in the state to guarantee that all of them are granted land pattas.

This survey will start on August 16 and will continue till September 15 to identify eligible landless families.

State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari made this announcement Friday following a review meeting. All district Collectors have been directed to start the enumeration process immediately.

The state government has also decided to provide land pattas to 2,276 families who were identified as homeless in a 2018 survey.

The government has also instructed educational institutes to ensure that government land is properly recorded in their names.
