Union Minister Jual Oram’s Wife Passes Away Due to Dengue Complications

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Jual Oram’s wife Jhingia Oram passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar late Saturday night. She was 58 years old.

Jhingia had been battling dengue for the past nine days and was also suffering from lung fibrosis, which complicated her condition.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, along with other ministers and BJP leaders, visited Oram’s residence in Lumbinivihar in Bhubaneswar to pay their last respects. “There was no irregularity in her treatment. This is an irreparable loss for Jual Oram’s family, and we are here to offer our condolences,” said CM Majhi.

Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy also expressed her sorrow, stating, “We are deeply shocked by the loss. She was a supportive figure who was respected by all.”

Reflecting on his loss, Jual Oram shared, “My wife breathed her last at around 10:50 pm. Her platelet count had dropped to 60,000, and she fell unconscious. She shouldered great responsibilities, which allowed me to focus on my political career.”
