Bomb Planted Under Bed Explodes Killing Govt Official in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: A Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) died when an explosive planted under his bed exploded in Andhra Pradesh’s YSR Kadapa district.

The blast occurred on Sunday night. The VRA, D Narasimhulu was sleeping on a cot placed in the courtyard of his house. A bomb with a detonator planted under his bed exploded killing him on the spot.

His seriously injured wife was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

As their children were sleeping in another room, they were unharmed. Police investigation is underway. The accused have been detained by the police. The motive behind the crime is yet to be ascertained.
