Youth Missing After Jumping into Brahmani River from Bridge in Dhenkanal Dist

Dhenkanal: A young man from Kirtanpur village in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district reportedly jumped into the Brahmani River from the Baji Rout bridge in Bhuban on Wednesday night, infront of his father.

According to reports, the youth, identified as Parsuram Kamar and his father were cycling home from a relative’s house when the incident occurred. While on the bridge, Kamar abruptly got off his bicycle and jumped into the river before anyone could react. The reasons behind his sudden decision remain unclear.

Fire Services personnel were alerted and quickly initiated a search operation.

However, efforts were suspended due to poor visibility at night. The search resumed early Thursday morning, but as of the latest reports, there has been no sign of Kamar.
