India Crush Bangladesh by 133 Runs, Seal 3-0 T20I Series Sweep

Hyderabad: India secured a dominant 133-run victory over Bangladesh in the third T20I in Hyderabad, sealing a 3-0 series sweep. Setting a mammoth target of 298, India’s highest-ever T20I score, the match was effectively decided by the halfway mark. Bangladesh’s innings ended at 164, falling well short of their target.

Sanju Samson stole the spotlight, becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to hit a T20I century. His explosive 111 off 47 balls, complemented by Suryakumar Yadav’s 75 off 35, powered India to their historic total.

Samson’s innings included five consecutive sixes off leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, marking a remarkable turnaround after modest performances in the first two games.

Hardik Pandya added further firepower with a quick 47 off 18 balls, and Riyan Parag contributed a rapid 34 off 13. India’s relentless aggression continued throughout, leaving Bangladesh’s bowlers with no respite.

Despite being out of contention, Bangladesh’s efforts to reach even 200 were hindered by India’s sharp bowling. Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets on his return, while Mayank Yadav grabbed two.

This series sweep marked India’s 10th clean sweep in 34 T20I series.

With the T20I series wrapped up, focus shifts to the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, beginning on October 16.
