10000 Lts of Illicit Liquor Seized in Bhubaneswar, 15 Including Women Arrested

Bhubaneswar: During a raid at the Salia Sahi in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha Excise Department seized and destroyed around 10,000 litres of molasses and country liquor on Friday.

Fifteen persons including women were arrested in this connection.

Following complaints from locals that some miscreants were brewing and selling illicit country liquor in the Salia Sahi area, the Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Excise Department conducted a joint raid in the area.

The raiding personnel destroyed the premises where country liquor was brewed. The seized liquor and molasses were destroyed.
