11 Students, Parents Killed As School Bus Ploughs Crowd In China

A school bus mowed down a crowd of people outside a middle school in eastern China on Tuesday. According to reports, at least 11 parents and students died in this incident. The deceased included six parents and five children.

According to Chinese media, the driver of the school bus

“lost control” of the vehicle as it approached the school in Shandong province’s Tai’an city on Tuesday morning. It rammed into a group of parents and children standing on the side of the road near the school.

The driver was taken into custody by the local police and the cause of the incident was “under investigation”.
