11-Yr-Old Girl, Her 9-Yr-Old Brother Burnt Alive in Fire Mishap in Kendrapara Dist

Kendrapara: In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old girl and her 9-year-old brother were charred to death when their house at Balarampur village under Rajnagar police limits in Kendrpara district was burnt down on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the fire accident occurred at the house when the siblings were inside and their parents were out fior some work.

Seeing the fire and smoke coming out of the house, villagers tried hard to put down the fire and rescue the children.  But they were unable to save the two children in time.

On being informed, Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and quenched the blaze. Although the reason behind this fire accident is yet to be ascertained, yet it is suspected that an LPG cylinder leak may led to this accident.

Bodies of the deceased children have been recovered and sent for post-mortem.
