14 Indians Die as Bus with 40 Passengers Plunges Into River in Nepal

At least 14 persons have died as a bus with 40 Indian passengers plunged into a river in Nepal on Friday. The other 16 passengers were seriously injured in the accident.

The bus ill-fated bus was travelling from Pokhara to Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.

The bus bore the number plate of Uttar Pradesh (UP FT 76230). The driver of the bus lost control and the vehicle skidded off the road to plunge into the river in the Tanahun district in Aaina Pahara.

Rescue operations are underway at the accident scene.

The Indian tourists in the bus had stayed at the Majheri Resort in Pokhara of Nepal. On Friday morning, the bus departed Pokhara for Kathmandu.
