2 Killed, Another Injured as Speeding Car Hits Roadside Tree in Cuttack District

Bhubaneswar: Two persons died and another was seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling hit a roadside tree in the Banki block of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Sunday night.

According to sources, the driver of the car lost control of the steering wheel near the Banki Ranshankh area and the speeding vehicle strayed off the road to ram into the tree.

The ill-fated car was on its way to Banki Makundpur from Athagarh.

One of the passengers in the car died on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The other critically injured passenger has been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
