2-Yr-Old Boy & His 6-Yr-Old Sister Drown in Pond in Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: A brother and sister duo of tender age reportedly drowned in a pond at Jatipur village under Baripada Sadar police station limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Saturday.

The deceased children were identified as Malha Majhi (6) and her brother Kartik Majhi (2). These fatherless children drowned in a pond near their house while taking bath in the morning. It is suspected that their legs slipped and they fell to a deep part of the pond, from where they could not escape.

After receiving information, firefighters from Baripada reached the pond and recovered the bodies.
