85m AC Corridor Soon for Devotees Standing in Queue to Enter Puri Jagannath Temple

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has proposed to set up a tunnel-like dedicated corridor for devotees waiting in long queues to enter the Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri.

This 85-metre-long air-conditioned corridor is to be erected from Marichikot Square to the Singhadwara. Devotees are expected to get the facility by the end of this month.

Speaking to media, Puri sub-collector Bhabataran Sahoo said, the proposed air-conditioned corridor with drinking water facilities has been planned as per the feedback received from the devotees. Discussion with all the stakeholders for the project is in progress.

The corridor will be dismantled during Rath Yatra.
