23 Killed in Explosion at Fireworks Factory in Thailand

A blast at a fireworks factory in central Thailand killed at least 23 persons on Wednesday.

The explosion occurred in mid-afternoon. An investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind the blast.

This blast occurred less than a month before the Chinese New Year in February. The demand for fireworks increases during this time.

According to reports, no one could be saved alive from the factory where the blast occurred. The whole area was covered in a thick plume of black smoke.

In July 2023, a large explosion at a fireworks warehouse in southern Thailand claimed the lives of at least 10 persons and injured more than 100.
