3 Anganwadi Children Drown in Bhadrak District

Bhadrak: Three children of an Anganwadi Kendra drowned in a pond at Atrukana village of Bhadrak district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Payal Patra (3), Bharati Patra (4) and Lipsa Patra (3).

According to sources, after end of their session at the Atrukana Anganwadi Centre they wandered off towards a pond near the Anganwadi Centre. They accidentally fell into the pond and got drowned.

Villagers dished out the children and admitted them to Agarpada Hospital where they were declared dead. The Bhadrak District Collector ordered a probe into the incident.
