3 Killed Several Injured in Knife Attack at Festival in German City

At least three persons died and several others were injured in a knife attack in Germany’s Solingen city.

The attack took place on Friday night while the city was celebrating its 650th anniversary of establishment through a grand festival. Around 80,000 people had gathered for the festival.

The knife attack occurred at around 10 pm local time. A knife wielding man all of a sudden attacked people attending the festival.

Police immediately issued a major alert and a shooting alert. The celebration was immediately cancelled after the violent incident and the crowd was asked to disperse. According to police sources, no arrests have been made yet.
