4 Students Die in Accident on Way to Board Exam in UP

Lucknow: At least four high school students on their way to appear in the Uttar Pradesh board examinations died and six others were injured when the van in which they were travelling lost control and collided with a tree in UP’s Shahjahanpur district.

The accident occurred near Jarvan village. The ill-fated students were travelling to the Laturi Singh Inter-College in Jaitipur for the board examinations.

The deceased included two girls and two boys. All of them died on the spot. The six injured students were to a medical college hospital. They said to be in stable condition.

According to police sources, the accident occurred after the vehicle suffered a tyre burst. There were 10 students in the van at the time of the accident.
