5 Suspected Terrorists Planning Blasts in Bengaluru Arrested

Bengaluru: Five suspected terrorists planning attacks in different parts of Bengaluru were arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB). The arrested persons were identified as Junaid, Sohail, Umar, Mudasir, and Jahid. According to the police, they were also involved in a murder case in 2017.

Explosive materials, other items related to terror networks, and their mobile phones were seized.

According to reports, the CCB is in search of five more terrorists suspected to be involved in the planning of this gang.

The five arrested persons had come in contact with some terrorists during their stay in the Bangalore Central Jail, after getting arrested in the 2017 murder case. They also received training on handling explosives.

Acting on intelligence reports that they were planning for explosions in Bengaluru, the CCB rounded them up.
