500 Live Bullets Recovered From Bag Abandoned by Biker in Delhi; Manhunt Underway

New Delhi: The Delhi Police seized around 500 live cartridges from a biker in the Moti Nagar area during a routine patrol, officials reported on Monday.

Traffic police had stopped a biker for inspection in West Delhi on Saturday night. The man, however, abandoned his backpack and fled the scene, taking advantage of the crowded surroundings.

Upon searching the bag, authorities discovered 10 boxes of 7.62 mm live cartridges, totalling 499 bullets. Investigations also revealed that the motorcycle in question had been reported stolen.

The police are currently probing whether the ammunition was being transported for delivery to a larger criminal network, officials stated.
