80-Yr-Old Woman raped by 20-Yr-Old Youth in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: An 80-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old youth in the Dhanupali area in Sambalpur district of Odisha.

The accused has been nabbed by police. The rescued victim is admitted to Sambalpur district headquarter hospital (DHH) in serious condition.

According to reports, this ghastly incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon while it was raining in the area. The accused entered the house of the aged woman and raped her multiple times.

The incident came to the fore when a neighbour called at the door of the octogenarian. He was astonished to hear her cry inside the house. Sensing something fishy, he locked up the door from outside and informed the Dhanupali police.

At around 5 pm, the police reached the woman’s home and located her in an unconscious state. The accused youth was found to be hiding under the bed.
