Facebook Video Gets a Major Upgrade with New Editing Tools, HDR Uploads and More

Meta has announced a host of new video features for Facebook, including refined editing tools, the ability to upload videos in HDR, and a new Video tab.

Refined Editing Tools

The new editing tools will allow users to add music, filters, and other effects to their videos. They will also be able to trim and cut their videos and add titles and captions. This will make it easier for users to create high-quality videos that are more engaging for their audience.

HDR Video Uploads

The ability to upload videos in HDR will allow users to share videos with more vibrant colours and contrast. This will make videos look more realistic and appealing to viewers.

New Video Tab

The new Video tab will make it easier for users to find and watch videos on Facebook. The tab will include a personalized feed of videos, as well as a separate section for Reels. This will make it easier for users to discover new videos that they are interested in.

Other New Features

In addition to the new editing tools, HDR uploads, and Video tab, Meta is also adding a few other new features to Facebook videos. These features include the ability to view and leave comments on Instagram Reels from Facebook, and the ability to record a voiceover over a video.

These new features are a sign that Meta is continuing to invest in video as a key growth area for Facebook. The company is hoping that these new features will make it easier for users to create and share high-quality videos and that this will lead to more engagement with Facebook’s video content.
