9 Including 6 Women Burnt Alive, Several Injured as Bus Catches Fire in Haryana

Chandigarh: As many as nine pilgrims died and several others were injured when the in which they were travelling caught fire near Tauru in Haryana’s Nuh district on Saturday.

Of the deceased persons, six are women and three are men. The victims were returning from a pilgrimage to Mathura and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.

The injured were admitted to the Nuh Medical College.

According to police sources, the accident occurred at around 2 am on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

There were around 64 passengers in the bus including women and children. Most of them were inhabitants of Punjab and Chandigarh.
