Accused of Uttarakhand Rape-Murder of Nurse Arrested from Rajasthan  

Dehradun: Uttarakhand police arrested the man accused of sexually assaulting and killing a nurse in Udham Singh Nagar district’s Rudrapur from Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

The arrested man is a construction worker. He had raped and murdered a 33-year-old nurse of a private hospital in Rudrapur, who used to live in Bilaspur colony of Rudrapur along with her daughter.

On July 31, a sister of the nurse had registered a missing report with the police. The nurse had gone to a gym on July 30 evening but didn’t return home.

Her mutilated body was found on August 8.

Police found that the missing phone of the victim was being used with a different SIM, bought in the name of one Khushbu from village Tursapatti in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Later, through electronic surveillance the phone was located in Jodhpur. It led to the arrested of the accused, Dharmendra Kumar and his wife Khushbu.

During interrogation, Dharmendra admitted to have sexually assaulted the nurse and smashing her head with a stone and strangulating her with her scarf.
