Air Marshal AP Singh Appointed As New IAF Chief

New Delhi: The Union government on Saturday appointed Air Marshal AP Singh as the new Chief of the Indian Air Force. He will assume the charge on September 30.

He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College. He was commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF on December 21, 1984.

Air Marshal AP Singh is a qualified flying instructor and an experimental test pilot. He has more than 5,000 hours of flying experience on a variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
