Akshay Kumar Becomes an Indian Citizen, Shares Proof

Mumbai: At last Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who held a Canadian passport in the past became an Indian citizen.

He shared the proof of his Indian citizenship on X (Twitter) with a picture of his official government documents.

Akshaya was facing criticism from a section because of his Canadian citizenship.

Declaring his Indian citizenship, Akshay wrote, “Dil aur citizenship, dono Hindustani. Happy Independence Day! Jai Hind.” His fans congratulated him and wished him a Happy Independence Day.

He applied for Indian citizenship in 2019. But the process was delayed because of the COVID pandemic.
