Ancient Instruments to Showcase Indian’s Musical Heritage at G20 Gala Dinner Hosted by President Murmu

New Delhi: A special musical performance showcasing ancient classical instruments will be the highlight of the special dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu for G20 leaders on Saturday evening.

This special musical show will include ancient musical instruments ‘Ravanahatha’ and ‘Rudra Veena’ among others. They include 34 Hindustani musical instruments, 18 carnatic musical instruments, and 26 folk musical instruments of India. Around 78 instrumentalists will perform for the world leaders at the G20 summit.

The musical show for the ceremonial dinner to be held at the Bharat Mandapam venue of the G20 Leaders Summit in Delhi will depict India’s rich musical heritage.

This show named ‘Bharat Vadya Darshanam’ (Musical Journey of India) will be by the ‘Gaandharva Aaradhyam’ group. It will be a three-hour-long musical performance.

Specially abled artists of both Hindustani and Carnatic music will also perform at the dinner hosted by President Murmu.
