CM Naveen Patnaik to Skip G20 Gala Dinner Hosted by Prez Murmu, Know Who’re Attending Who’re Not

New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will skip the G20 gala dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu, on the opening day of the G20 Summit in New Delhi on Saturday. There is no official declaration regarding the reason behind this decision.

A total of 170 guests are on the list of special invitees of the G20 dinner hosted by President Draupadi Murmu in the national capital.

The list of invitees includes foreign leaders, delegates to the G20 summit, all cabinet and state ministers, chief ministers and secretaries to the Government of India.

Chief Ministers Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann, have confirmed their attendance.

But chief ministers of Congress-ruled states of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan may not be present. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has officially communicated that he would not be attending the gala dinner citing ‘pre-engagement’. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have not officially confirmed their attendance at the dinner.

Former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda have conveyed their inability to attend the dinner due to health reasons.

The event’s host, President Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar with his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President Ram Nath Kovind, and former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will be at the dinner party.

This gala dinner will be held at the Bharat Mandapam.
