Angry Mob Torches Truck After Youth Dies in Accident in Keonjhar Dist

Keonjhar: A youth was killed when a truck ran over him in the Bansapal block of Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Santosh Dehuri from Bininda village, the sole earning member of his family. Santosh was returning home, when he was hit by a speeding 14-wheeler truck. He died on the spot.

This accident led to tension in the area. Angry locals set the accident-causing truck on fire. But the driver of the truck managed to escape.

Police rushed to the spot to pacify the angry crowd. The body of the deceased was sent for post-mortem.
