Ex-MLA of Phulbani, Debendra kanhar Quits BJD

Bhubaneswar: The former MLA of the Phulbani assembly constituency in Kandhamal district, Debendra Kanhar, resigned from primary membership of the BJD.

Kanhar sent his resignation letter to the BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik.

In his resignation letter, Kanhar mentioned that he quit BJD with a heavy heart after working for around 15 years continuously from 2009. “I feel it to be the right time to tender my resignation,” Kanhar stated.

It is felt that Kanhar resigned from the BJD as he was not given a ticket by the party to contest from Phulbani Assembly segment in the upcoming polls.

As per reports, Soro MLA Parshuram Dhada also resigned from BJD.
