Armed Maoists Bomb Forester’s Quarters, Burn JCB at Village in Nuapada Dist

Bhubaneswar: A group of armed Maoists resorted to violent mayhem in Golaband village under Kermeli panchayat in Nuapada district on Thursday night.

They showed their strength at the remote village and hurled bombs at the forester’s quarters in Golaband. The armed naxals also set fire to a JCB vehicle parked at the village.

Before leaving, the Maoists left a poster near the forester’s office in which they alleged that the Centre and state governments in Odisha and Chhattisgarh were selling off mineral resources and water of their region to corporate houses.

The handwritten statement in the poster alleged that the governments and companies were exploiting and harassing the commoners. The Maoists threatened to intensify their actions if situation did not change in the future.
