Arrested after 13 Yrs, Murder Convict Escapes Again in Sambalpur  

Sambalpur: A murder convict named Gulgula Khan escaped from the hands of police in Sambalpur on Thursday.

In 2001, he was convicted in a murder case and sent to jail. He got out on bail in 2010, but never appeared before the court despite repeated summons. The court issued his arrest warrant and a team from Sambalpur Town police station arrested him on Wednesday night.

He was taken to the Sambalpur court on Thursday. In the court premises, Gulgula dodged the police in the name of going to the bathroom.

The murder convict managed to escape through the skylight of the toilet, while a policeman stood guard outside the lavatory.

He is yet to be traced. A manhunt has been launched to trace the escaped convict.
