Animals to Have Modern Endoscopic Treatment in Nandankanan

Bhubaneswar: Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) now has a functional endoscopy unit for the treatment of animals.

This endoscopy unit at NZP veterinary hospital is the first-of-its-kind facility in Odisha. It is a boon for the animals at the zoo.

Apart from the endoscopy unit, the veterinary hospital in NZP now has thermal imaging cameras, portable X-ray machine, long-range tranquilizer guns and ultrasound machine.

Added to them, a neonatal ICU, an ultramodern operation theatre and a dental surgery unit have been opened at NZP.

These additions are part of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s promise to develop NZP as a world-class zoo.

In recent future, Nandankanan will have tunnel aquarium, water bird aviary, immersive enclosures, modern frontage, landscaping and other advanced facilities for the visitors.
