Bangladesh Supreme Court Under Seize by Protesters Who Demand Resignation of All Judges

After being successful in overthrowing the Sheikh Hasina government, the student protestors have started demonstrations demanding the resignation of all judges of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, including the Chief Justice.

Hundreds of protesters mostly students have gheraoed the Bangladesh Supreme Court, demanding the resignation of Chief Justice within one hour.

As per reports, the Chief Justice is said to have fled the Bangladesh Supreme Court premises.

The Chief Justice called up a full-court meeting on Saturday without consulting the newly formed interim government. This sparked off the protests.

As tensions mounted, the scheduled full-court meeting was abruptly called off.

Protestors have put the Bangladesh Supreme Court under seize, giving the Chief Justice a one-hour ultimatum to step down.
