Bhubaneswar-Based YouTuber, Lawyer Face CBI Chargesheet for Claims On Sridevi’s Death Using “Forged” Letter of PM

New Delhi: The CBI has filed a chargesheet against Bhubaneswar-based YouTuber Deepti R Pinniti, and her lawyer Bharath Suresh Kamath for using “forged” letters in the name of top dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, to make claims related to Bollywood actor Sridevi’s death.

The CBI had registered a case against the duo in 2023. The CBI had jumped into action following a complaint from Mumbai-based lawyer Chandni Shah, which was referred to the agency by the Prime Minister’s Office.

According to Shah, Pinniti used several forged documents, including letters from the Prime Minister and the defence minister, documents related to the Supreme Court and records from the UAE government.

In the past, Pinniti went viral through her social media discussions on the death of Bollywood actors such as Sridevi and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sridevi passed away in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in February 2018.

Pinnati in her social media videos made sensational claims, including a “coverup between the two governments” allegedly using forged documents.

On December 2, CBI conducted searches at her residence in Bhubaneswar and seized digital devices, including phones and laptops.

As per the CBI chargesheet furnished to a special court, documents used by the YouTuber during YouTube discussions, pertaining to the prime minister and the defence minister, were “forged.”

Pinnati and Kamath have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 465, 469, and 471.
