Bhubaneswar Boiled at 43.2°C Today Afternoon, Odisha’s Several Other Places Also Experienced Above 40°C

Bhubaneswar: As predicted by the IMD, mercury inched towards 44 degrees Celsius mark in Bhubaneswar on Friday. The maximum temperature recorded in Bhubaneswar by 2:30 PM was 43.2 degrees Celsius, stated the IMD. Other places of the state also experienced above 40 degree Celsius day temperature on Friday. It was 40.2 degree in Jharsuguda, 40.8 degree in Sambalpur, 40.6 in Hirakud and 40.6 in Chandbali.

From Friday morning, the weather condition hinted that it would be an extremely hot day. By 11 AM on Friday, the mercury breached the 39 degrees mark in Bhubaneswar. Several districts of Odisha have been experiencing intense heat wave over the past few days.

According to the IMD this will continue for next two days. After that some areas of the state may experience thundershowers.
