Bhubaneswar IIT’s Student from Delhi Dies After Falling from Building

Bhubaneswar: A student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar breathed her last after falling from the roof of the administrative building of the institute at the Arugul campus of the institute on Tuesday night.

The deceased, identified as Kritika Raj from Delhi was a third-year student. Police have started an investigation into the incident.

Last night at about 11, a student fell down from the fifth floor of the administration building which houses the library, the institute said in a statement.

The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. But it is suspected that it may be a case of suicide.

Kritika had recently returned to the hostel from her home and according to sources was quiet and reserved following her return.

Police, meanwhile, seized the body and sent it to the Capital Hospital for post-mortem.
