The MP-MLA court of additional district and sessions judge, Ahsanullah Khan, found the lawmaker guilty in the nine-year-old rape case. The court had ordered his arrest on Tuesday.

The crime was committed in 2014 when Gaur was just a political activist and his wife was the village panchayat chief. Later he had tried to force the victim for abortion. But the victim was secretly married off. But Gaur located her in her husband’s house and threatened her several times.

The girl refused to opt for abortion and with the support of her parents and in-laws decided to file a case against Gaur. Gaur became an MLA in 2022 and her family was continuously threatened by Gaur’s henchmen.
