Body of Ex-Model Divya Pahuja Recovered from Haryana Canal

Chandigarh: The body of former model Divya Pahuja, who was shot dead inside a Gurugram hotel, was recovered from a Haryana canal on Saturday.

According to police, the body was thrown in the canal in Punjab and it drifted to Haryana.

Pahuja was killed at a Gurugram hotel on January 2. From the CCTV footage, it was revealed that two men dragged her body out of the hotel and put it in a car.

The seized body was sent for the post-mortem.

Balraj Gill, one of the arrested accused, who allegedly dumped the body, was arrested earlier this week. Based on information provided by Gill, police recovered the body. Another accused, Ravi Banga, is still on the run.

Divya Pahuja was allegedly shot dead by the hotel owner Abhijeet Singh. She was in jail for seven years for her alleged role in the fake encounter of Gurugram gangster Sandeep Gadoli in 2016.

Besides Gill, police have already arrested main accused Abhijit Singh, Hemraj and Omprakash in the case.

According to reports, Pahuja was allegedly blackmailing Singh with some obscene videos of him that she possessed. When she allegedly refused to hand over the videos, she was murdered.
