Bomb Threat On Air India Flight Leads to Brief Emergency At Kerala Airport

Thiruvananthapuram: Following a bomb threat on an Air India flight from Mumbai a full emergency was declared at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on Thursday morning.

The Air India flight with 135 passengers landed safely at the airport at around 8 am. It was immediately transferred to an isolation bay and the passengers were safely evacuated from the flight by 8.44 am.

The pilot of the plane informed the bomb threat at 7.30 am as the aircraft approached the Thiruvananthapuram airport. Immediately  full emergency was declared at the airport at 7.36 am.

This incident did not interrupt the Airport operations. Details on the origin of the threat and other information are awaited.
