Boyfriend Among 2 Arrested for Murder of 15-Yr-Old Girl in Balangir

Balangir: Two youths including the boyfriend of a murdered girl were arrested by Balangir police on Saturday. The 15-year-old deceased named Seshadri Nag was located in a pool of blood inside her home in Nikhil Nagar slum of Balangir town, two days back.

The victim was a higher secondary student. The assailants had slit her throat.

The arrested accused persons included the lover of the victim, Milan Rana (21), and his associate. Police are in search of another absconding accused.

An initial police investigation reveals that Seshadri and Milan were having a romantic relationship. But for some reason, Seshadri did not want to continue with the relationship.

A heated argument erupted between the two when Seshadri declared to snap all ties with Milan. In a rage Milan slit her throat with a sharp weapon.

After committing the murder, Milan and his associates escaped out of Odisha. Milan was arrested from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh while he was planning to board a train to some other state.
