Missing Woman Found to be Murdered by Husband in Balangir

Balangir: A woman missing from her home since June 16 was found to be murdered by her husband in Balangir district.

The deceased named Chulabati of Chingiritala village was killed by her husband Debaraj Sahu of Putulamahula village under Khaprakhole police limits in Bolangir district. Debaraj’s elder brother Tikelal and uncle Gunanidhi were associates in the crime, police sources said. Debaraj and Chulabati married in 2016. They had a major marital quarrel on June 16. Angry Debaraj is alleged to have thrashed Chulabati to death on that day.

Family members of the deceased woman had lodged a missing complaint alleging that her husband had murdered her.

Personnel of Patnagarh police station involved in the investigation of the case had taken in four persons for interrogation, including her husband, brother-in-law, and aunty.

Interrogation revealed the culprits behind the woman’s murder.
