Ukraine Claims Recapturing Another Village from Russians

Ukraine on Monday claimed to have recaptured another village from Russians. Ukraine’s deputy Defence Minister Ganna Maliar said on social media that Ukrainian forces have recaptured the village of Pyatykhatky on the southern front, on social media on Monday.

According to Maliar, “eight settlements have been liberated” in total this month since the start of a counteroffensive, with 113 square kilometres of territory recaptured.

Ukraine on Thursday claimed that its forces had regained control of over 100 square kilometers of territory in the counteroffensive against Russian forces. This was stated by a senior Ukrainian commander.

“We are ready to continue fighting to liberate our territory even with our bare hands,” a Ukrainian official said. He claimed that in the early stages of the offensive, seven settlements had been liberated in the eastern region of Donetsk and in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia.

The Ukrainian army has advanced by up to 3 km near the Mala Tokmachka village in Zaporizhzhia and by up to 7 km near Velyka Novosilka village in Donetsk, declared a Ukrainian defence official.
