CBI Arrests Odisha Man in NEET-UG Paper Leak Case

Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during its investigation into the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) paper leak case, arrested an Odia from Bhubaneswar.

The accused identified as Susanta Samanta (34), was arrested from Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

According to reports, he was produced before a court in Bihar’s Patna on Monday and the central agency has been granted a five-day remand of Samanta.

The CBI had requested to take Samanta on a 10-day remand, but the court on Monday allowed a five-day remand.

Patna Police unearthed the NEET question paper leak on May 5. The case was initially investigated by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police, and it was later transferred to the CBI.
