Chandrababu Naidu Granted Bail By Andhra HC on Medical Grounds in Rs 371 Cr Scam Case

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party leader N Chandrababu Naidu was granted four weeks interim bail on medical grounds by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday in the alleged Rs 371 crore scam involving the state’s skill development corporation.

Naidu’s legal counsel informed the court that the TDP leader has to undergo cataract surgery. Naidus is expected to be released from He is expected to be released from Rajahmundry Central Jail on Tuesday evening.

While granting bail to him, the court has put restrictions on media interaction and participation in campaign events by the former Chief Minister.

Naidu was arrested last month over an alleged Rs 371 crore scam involving the state’s skill development corporation. He is lodged in the Rajahmundry Central Jail since then.

He has also been named – as Accused No 3 – in a second case – over allegedly illegal licensing of liquor companies by the previous government.
