Chinese Prez Xi Jinping Will Grace Asian Games Opening Ceremony

Chinese President Xi Jinping will take part in the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou on September 23.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying informed the presence of Xi Jinping during the ceremony, stated Xinhua.

The final stage of the torch relay for the Asian Games took place in Hangzhou on Wednesday. It marked the commencement of the final countdown towards the inauguration of the grand sporting event of Asia.

This sporting event will commence on September 23. The 19th Asian Games is poised to become the largest and grandest edition to date.

Around 12,500 athletes from 45 countries in Asia will take part in 40 sports, 61 disciplines and 481 events.
