Congress Repeals Suspension of Mohammed Moquim, Chiranjib Biswal

Bhubaneswar: The Congress party revoked the suspension order of senior party leaders Mohammed Moquim and Chiranjib Biswal on Tuesday. Added to it, the expulsion of former legislator Krushna Chandra Sagaria from the party was also repealed.

On Monday, Cuttack-Barabati MLA Moquim and former MLA Biswal met the Congress’ Odisha in-charge Ajoy Kumar at the state guest house in Bhubaneswar, which hinted at their return to the party fold again.

On Monday Ajoy Kumar said that the misunderstandings have been cleared. He termed Moquim and Chiranjib as strong leaders of the Congress.

Following the revocation of his suspension, Moquim thanked the Congress party for the decision. He declared to perform whatever task the party assigned him.

On July 16, 2023, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) suspended Moquim and Chiranjib from the party on the grounds of anti-party activities.
