Crorepati JE Having 50 Bank Accounts, Several Buildings, Huge Cache of Jewellery Under Vigilance Scanner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials conducted simultaneous raids on the office, residence and other properties related to a Junior Engineer Prasanna Kumar Pani, posted in Pallahara in Angul district.

Pani serves as a JE (Technical Consultant) at the Pallahara BEO office.  The vigilance raids were conducted to unearth alleged disproportionate assets amassed by him.

Vigilance officials seized at least 50 bank accounts, a huge amount of jewellery and land and apartment documents during the raids. The JE allegedly owns several triple-storied buildings in Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar as well as several plots.

According to unofficial assessment, Pani’s assets are worth crores of rupees.

Six DSPs, six Inspectors and other staff were involved in the raids conducted in nine places in Khurdha (Bhubaneswar), Angul and Puri districts.

The searches were in progress.
