Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed his desire to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Odisha. He has formally communicated this aspiration to the party and seeks their support. Pradhan’s primary focus is to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can serve the nation for a third consecutive term.
Currently serving as the Union Education and Skill Development minister and a member of the Rajya Sabha, Pradhan acknowledged the significant challenge posed by the opposition INDIA bloc. He highlighted the BJP and NDA’s commitment to taking every election seriously, with dedicated efforts from grassroots workers to top leaders, all under the guidance of PM Modi.
In discussing the women’s reservation bill, Pradhan lauded PM Modi’s commitment to granting political rights to the nation’s women. He criticized the Congress party for allowing the women’s reservation bill to lapse during their rule, emphasizing that they missed the opportunity to support it.
Pradhan also took a stance against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s call for a nationwide caste census. He questioned the “family party’s” dedication to the welfare of OBCs and weaker sections over the past 75 years, urging them to share their track record.
