Dr Sandip Mishra, Innovator of Breast Cancer Medicine, Found Dead at Bhubaneswar Residence

Bhubaneswar: Dr Sandip Mishra, a renowned scientist at the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) and the pioneer behind groundbreaking breast cancer medicine, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the city.

His body was discovered at his residence in Satyanagar, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has been sent to Capital Hospital for an autopsy.

The cause of Dr. Mishra’s death is currently unclear, prompting a police investigation.

The family has yet to file a formal complaint, but they suggest that food poisoning led to a cardiac arrest. A relative stated, “Dr. Mishra experienced indigestion and was treated at a hospital. He later complained of shortness of breath before passing away.”

The family has expressed frustration over false reports suggesting suicide. “My brother informed me about his condition late at night. We are waiting for his sister and elder brother, who are abroad, before proceeding with the last rites,” a relative added.

Dr. Mishra, celebrated for his breakthrough in breast cancer medicine, had his work featured in prominent science and Nature Group journals.
